Wondering what sort of lifeless freak creates a harem of unobtainable characters? Actually, I'm not a lifeless freak, and this page is here to explain why I made a harem.

For starters, everyone lusts after someone unobtainable - otherwise all the current moviestars and singing sensations wouldn't be on the cover of every teen magazine in every grocery store and gas station across the world. Even people who don't lust after teen sensations have their own lusts. Yes, that means all those other people who think they're above having a "harem". Everyone lusts for someone you can't have. Animation, real life, TV, movies or otherwise.

Secondly, I do actually have a life; I'm not just some random internet freak who has nothing better to do with their day. I work full-time, I'm a college grad, and I hang out with real life friends I didn't meet on the internet. I like to write, I like to read, I love to travel and I enjoy graphic design. Once upon a time, this harem ended up on Something Awful, which I personally thought was pretty funny, and pretty damned sad if they had nothing more awful than my harem to make fun of. And I got quite a few of nice emails from people telling me they thought my site was just fine. So thanks for increasing my hits, guys, and thanks for the kind words.

And finally, I'm not alone. Animated Lust is where the idea originated from, and lots of other people have harems there, too. If you feel inclined, go make your own harem. It's really not as crazy as it sounds.
